Philadelphia is a city not only with a rich history, but with amazing science, as well. The Mutter Museum would certainly be #1 on our to-do list. This museum of medical history contains some disturbing oddities, such as the remains of physically deformed humans and a collection of 2,000 objects pulled out of people's throats.
For the squeamish, we recommend the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University (which is the oldest natural sciences institute in the Western Hemisphere) and a science center called the Franklin Institute.
