Thulium

Though not overly rare, with a prevalence similar to that of gold, silver, or cadmium, thulium is expensive to obtain. As new extraction methods become viable, costs may decrease. When that happens, thulium could function as a potential source of energy. For now, it's only used occasionally to manufacture lightweight, portable X-ray machines.
