2014's Not Top Ten: The Biggest Junk Science

In 2014, scientists again pushed upon the bounds of possibility. They found a hidden ocean on Saturn's moon Enceladus, one that could harbor life. They unearthed Dreadnoughtus, the largest known animal to ever walk the face of the Earth. They even landed a robot on a comet. Wow.

But with all the awe-inspiring science stories also came stories that weren't so amazing. Rather than exemplify humanity's ability to forge a brighter future with science, many of these stories showed humanity's opposite ability to disregard science completely. Others simply showed how science can be carried out incorrectly.
