Newborn Male Circumcision Rates Are Falling in the U.S.

In a research letter published in JAMA Pediatrics, a team from Johns Hopkins Medicine and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health shows that rates for neonatal male circumcision in the United States dropped significantly from 2012-2022, in spite of scientific evidence supporting the procedure’s health benefits.
