Is Global Warming Making It Snow?
Matthew Herper, Forbes
Back in February, the family of Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla) built an igloo on Capitol Hill and named it after Al Gore. Inhofe was, of course, mocking Gore’s advocacy of efforts to combat global warming. Any scientist would remark that one snowstorm doesn’t contradict warming trends constructed from measurements made around the globe.
But if the planet’s getting hot, what is with all the snow? There is an emotionally satisfying explanation: maybe global warming is causing the increased snowfall.
